Nine rooms facing the weather
The Weatherglass is a nine-room hotel on the north Brittany coast, at the end of a single-track lane above a beach that empties twice a day. There is no lift, no minibar and no spa. There is a barometer in the hall that has been right more often than the forecast, nine rooms, and a long table where breakfast runs until ten.

Where this is
An hour and forty minutes from Brest
The nearest airport is Brest, 1 h 40 by car. Rennes is two hours. If you come by train, get off at Guingamp and drive the last thirty minutes — there is no bus after 18:00. The last three kilometers are single track with passing places, and the hedges are high in July.

Questions we are asked
If the answer you need is not here, write to us and we will add it.
Do you have a booking system?
No. Write to us with your dates and we answer within a day, usually the same morning. It is a nine-room house; a person reads every message.
Is breakfast included?
Yes, for every room. It runs from 8:00 to 10:00 at the long table. If you need to leave earlier, tell us the night before.
Can we bring a dog?
In the two ground-floor garden rooms, one dog per room, at no extra charge. Not in the dining room at breakfast.
Why are you closed in winter?
The house is old and the weather here is serious. We use November to March for the work that cannot be done with guests in the building.
Is there anywhere to eat nearby?
Two places in the village, both walkable, both closed on Mondays. We keep a list at reception and we will call ahead for you.
